About Pridovo

Modern prediction game for private leagues, built for the 2026 World Cup — mobile-first, fair, without ad walls.

What is Pridovo?

Pridovo is a modern, bilingual prediction game focused on private leagues, mobile-first UX, and fair scoring. The first major use case is the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with more tournaments to follow.

You can create a private league, invite friends, and submit predictions for every match of the World Cup together. Pridovo evaluates the predictions according to configurable rules, shows live rankings, and supports bonus questions like "who will be World Cup champion", "who will be top scorer", or "which team wins Group X".

Why another prediction game?

Established platforms work — but in 2026 they feel old. Entry on a phone is awkward, the interfaces are crammed with ads, and features like live knockout projections or a real risk joker either don't exist or are locked behind premium tiers.

Pridovo is the answer: fast prediction-entry flow, clean live standings, multiple play modes with configurable scoring rules, a risk joker with real penalty points — and no advertising in the user flow.

Features

• Risk pick: activate the joker for multiplier points — wrong tendency gives real negative points.

• Live knockout projection: Pridovo computes the projected knockout bracket from current group standings, including the FIFA key for best third-placed teams.

• Side picks: first goalscorer, first-goal minute, cards — per match and overall.

• Bonus questions: World Cup winner, top scorer, group winners — configurable per league.

• Private leagues: you create, you invite, you set the rules. No public tipping rounds.

• Mobile-first: the entire UI is built primarily for smartphones.

Who runs Pridovo?

Pridovo is operated by Andre Semek, a cloud and software engineer based in Berlin. You can find more about my professional work and my other side projects (slimutils.com, eurocoeff.com) at semek.org.

Pridovo is built in spare time from a personal need: I have been a prediction-game participant for years and was frustrated every season by the dated interfaces, so I decided to build it myself — with the features I had been missing.

Tech stack (for the curious)

• Web: Next.js 16 with static export, React 19, Tailwind CSS 3, Zustand state management, TypeScript strict mode

• API: Fastify 5 on Node.js 22, Prisma 5 ORM, PostgreSQL 16, JWT auth with Argon2, Zod validation

• Infrastructure: Docker Compose + Traefik on Hostinger VPS

• Frontend hosting: Cloudflare Pages

• Email: Resend (data processor, EU-US Data Privacy Framework)

• Tests: Node --test runner for API, Playwright for web E2E

Status and roadmap

Pridovo is currently in its final build phase. The API is functional, the web app has all core flows (create league, invite, predict, leaderboard, bonus questions). Currently only invited testers are registered.

Planned public launch: ahead of the 2026 World Cup so private leagues can be set up before the first match. After the World Cup, adjustments will follow for more tournaments (Euro 2028, World Cup 2030, national leagues).

Not gambling

Pridovo is not a gambling offering. No money stakes are accepted, there are no monetary prizes, and participation serves purely entertainment and community purposes. Pridovo is also not an official service of FIFA, UEFA, or any national football federation.
